SNOWMOBILING
B & E ACTION RENTAL (920) 845-5926 - ½ day (4 hours), full day
(23 hours), and weekend rentals available. The hotel is located
just off the snowmobile trail. The local 30 mile trail
(also known as the
Ahnapee State Trail) interconnects with 95 miles of
snowmobile trails in Kewaunee County and 275 miles of
trails in Door County.
CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
AHNAPEE STATE TRAIL - This trail spans about
30 miles between Casco, Algoma and Sturgeon Bay.
During the winter the trail is used avidly by
snowmobilers and cross country skiers. Some
trails are designated available for cross
country skiers only.

DOWNHILL SKIING
KEWAUNEE COUNTY WINTER PARK (920) 388-0444 -
Located on Cty. F just north of Kewaunee and a
short 10 miles from Algoma. These
well-maintained ski slopes are open to the
public for an economical $10 / day. The
snowmaking machine keeps the slopes ready for
riding all winter long. Open Saturday (11-4
p.m.) and Sundays (12 - 4 p.m.) The park opens
and remains open as long as freezing
temperatures are maintained. The winter park
chalet provides a place to warm up and enjoy
refreshments allowing you to make this a full
day event if you wish. No rental equipment
available at this hill. Call the recreation

ICE FISHING
EAST ALASKA LAKE, WEST ALASKA LAKE & KROHNS LAKE - All
three of these lakes are located within 10 miles of
Algoma and are well-known in the area for yielding
rainbow trout and perch. Multiple tournaments are held
throughout the season and inquiries regarding these
tournaments can be directed to the Kewaunee County D.N.R
department at (920) 388-4255.

TUBING & SNOWSHOEING
KEWAUNEE COUNTY WINTER PARK (920) 388-0444 - A
place to enjoy one of the best tubing slopes in
northeastern Wisconsin. Located on Cty. F just
north of Kewaunee and a short 10 miles from
Algoma. There are five 535-foot tubing lanes
that are 15-feet wide. There is always snow with
the high-tech snowmaking gun in case Mother
Nature decides to take a break. The winter park
chalet provides a place to warm up and enjoy
refreshments allowing you to make this a full
day event if you wish. Individual rate of $5.00
for 2 hours + $3.00 for each additional hour.
Family rate of $18 for 2 hours (5 people max.).
Open Saturday (11-8 p.m.) and Sundays (12 - 5
p.m.) The park opens and remains open as long as
freezing temperatures are maintained. There is
also 10 miles of singletrack trails at the park
that are specifically designed for snowshoers
and hikers alike. |
